Must Be Native American

Services are provided to Native American and Alaska Natives that have day-to-day management responsibilities for their business.  Documentation is required and consists of the following:

Owner must be a member of a federally recognized tribe

1.       Tribal Enrollment Card

2.       Certified Degree of Indian Blood

If you have already established a company:

Individual must own and control at least 51% of the company and manage it on a daily basis.

1.       Articles of Incorporation

2.       By-laws

3.       Operating agreement

4.       Federal Identification Number

Please note that one does not have to be Native American to be a member of the Chamber.  Please see Membership categories. 

How to Determine If You Are Native American

DNA test results do not qualify an individual as Native American. 

Indian means any person who is a member of any Indian tribe, band, group, pueblo or community that is recognized by the Federal Government as eligible for services from the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) in accordance with 25 U.S.C. 1452(c) and any “Native” as defined in the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (43 U.S.C. 1601).
